I cannot support the budget repair bill

Dear Governor Walker,

I am writing to tell you that I cannot support the budget repair bill before the legislature. I work for the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee as a lecturer. While I think that the cuts in compensation included in the bill should have been negotiated with employees, they are not my primary reason for opposing the bill. Taking away virtually all collective bargaining rights for public unions is an unprecedented and unethical proposal, and for that reason I strongly oppose your budget repair bill.
